Fact 483 is bs.
a) the iPhone has no hard drive
b) a “full” memory doesn’t mean it’s all “1” (or “0”)
c) information is not held by storing an electron per bit for a “1”.
@John: Just for your reference, I have both a masters in computer science and a minor in physics and mathematics, so this one’s right up my alley and I wasn’t just pulling it out of my butt. 😉 Needless to say, not bullshit! The key is the use of flash memory in most such portable devices these days (though of course if you have an older unit, it may still use spinning platter drives). In any event, rather than take my word for it (some guy on the internet, which is obviously often the lowest common denominator for “truthyness”) here’s one good source from one Dr. John D. Kubiatowicz and he explains it somewhat well, at least at a high level.
Fact #456. It’s FARTHER(physical distance), not further. Don’t ya know the difference?! How many other errors of this nature have you made on this site?
Fact 457 also has a counterpart; Taal Lake is a freshwater lake in the province of Batangas, on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. There is a crater lake on Volcano Island, which is the world’s largest lake on an island (Volcano Island) in a lake (Taal Lake) on an island (Luzon)! And is recognized by the Guinness World Records.
FACT: I visited the Hemingway House in Key West and the historical society claims it has a small basement making it the only structure with an underground room on the island. I doubt it….there is a Jiffy Lube on the key…and they have an underground area to work under vehicles.

@Dude: I do indeed know the difference, but of course, typos will happen. 🙂
People can be so rude! Good work Daven! I will definitely be curating some of these facts. Look forward for me to contacting you in the near future.
