John C. Calhourn was the only Vice President to serve under two presidents, John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson. He also married his first cousin Floride Bonneau Calhoun. Together they had 10 kids over 18 years, however three of their children died in infancy.

My third great grandfather Henry Smith was the first provisional governor of the Republic of Texas. He married 3 sisters in a row. This was in the early 1880s in Texas when disease was rampant and doctors were few and far between. It was a common practice in those days since who would be better to raise a widower’s kids than their aunt.
