That Time a Major Studio Intentionally Made a Crappy “Fantastic Four” Movie and Why Superheroes Wear Their Underwear on the Outside

In this episode of The Brain Food Show, we start off looking at why superheroes wear their underwear on the outside.

Next up, we have a brief message from our sponsor, Jeremy Scott, perhaps best known for his work on CinemaSins, but also the author of the books “The Ables” and the sequel that just came out, “Strings”, both of which you can order here https://cinemasins.com/book

Moving on to the main topic, we are looking at the fascinating story of an instance where a major movie studio intentionally made a horrible Fantastic Four movie and a variety of interesting tangents along the way.  In the Bonus Facts, we look at some rather odd characters created by DC Comics and Marvel over the years.

On another note, if you could do us a huge favor and rate and review this show in whatever podcasting platform you’re using (including hopefully giving us some feedback related to the new format), we would be extremely grateful. Thanks!

  • Provide a transcript please. My internet connection at work generally doesn’t allow for podcasts. (yeah, I guess I could wait and watch it at home, but I eat lunch at work and have time to watch then)

  • Yes, please provide a transcript. I don’t have the time or patience to sit through a video. Usually taking a short ‘mind-stretch’ at work.
Also, I learned to read a long time ago and prefer it to watching TV. There is a reason it is called the ‘Boob tube’ and not ‘Brain Food’.

  • Not everybody has a good connection and unlimited data. I have to conserve my use to get through the month. I only do videos when I need to see how to fix something on YouTube. I’ll have to pass on this story.
